Bruno Mars played another concert in Hawaii last night (and you probably missed it)

Three sold-out shows at Aloha Stadium apparently weren’t enough for Hawaii’s biggest pop music sensation.

Bruno Mars and members of his band, the Hooligans, performed at a privately-funded event Wednesday night at the Grand Wailea on Maui — like, right on the beach at the Grand Wailea.

Video from the concert that was posted to social media showed a much more intimate (and tropical) concert setting for what was intended to be a private event; the stage for the performance was set up near the water, and fans could be seen watching the show from the sand and in catamarans that were anchored just off shore.

Fans said the experience, on a beach at a Maui resort, was unforgettable.

“Amazing to be a part of such a spectacular event on Maui,” said Dan Viola, a DJ on the Valley Isle. “To see thousands on the beach in the water was just crazy cool.”

Mars recently wrapped up his 24K Magic World Tour, which included more than 200 performances around the globe.

The Hawaii-born singer and Roosevelt High School graduate released the song ‘Please Me,’ featuring Cardi B, earlier this month. The song is already #5 on the Billboard Top 100.
