Christmas is over, but what should you recycle?

The presents have been opened, the wine has been consumed and the lights have gone out. So, which of this stuff goes in the recycling bin?

When it comes to wrapping paper, if it’s just paper, throw it in the bin. If it’s a little more flashy, don’t.

Wine bottles made of glass are recyclable, but make sure to remove any corks or caps, because they are not. Have any used paper plates? Only recycle if there isn’t any food residue left on it.

Cardboard boxes need to be broken down, and any Styrofoam and plastic needs to be removed.

Christmas tree lights can be recycled, but you’re asked to not throw them in the recycling bin because they can cause tangles in the machines during sorting.
