Victoria Beckham launching eco-friendly skin care line

Victoria Beckham’s skin care line that’s set to launch in September will be eco-friendly, the former member of the Spice Girls and fashion entrepreneur said.

Beckham told Fashion Network the collection will be “very sustainable” with packaging made from post-consumer materials, and that prices for the products will be kept “a little lower” while still emphasizing high quality.

Victoria Beckham Beauty will launch as a digital-native brand available through victoriabeckham.com, the site that hosts her collection of clothing, accessories, shoes and bags, per Women’s Wear Daily.

“I want to take care of women inside and out, providing them with the must-have items in makeup, skin care, fragrance, and wellness that I feel I need in my own life,” Beckham told Fashion Network.

Beckham told Fashion Network the brand will not be available at major department stores but could show up in “unique specialty boutiques.”

The beauty brand will be led by co-founder and CEO Sarah Creal, a 25-year beauty industry veteran whose experience includes working with Prada and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Estee Lauder, where she worked with Beckham on a capsule collection.

Victoria Beckham Beauty will be based in New York and will launch at London Fashion Week in September.

Beckham also said she would create a new YouTube channel to promote her brand.

“It’s going to be everything from fashion to beauty. I am going to have cameras following me around while I am on the road, there will be styling, but also some humor, as it’s important to also have some fun with it,” she told WWD.

Beckham’s fashion label is worth about $139 million, per Money magazine, and her total net worth is about $450 million including brand sponsorships and modeling contracts.
