Weekend Getaway: The Logan Philadelphia

The Center City hotel boasts a rooftop bar and luxury spa.

Cost: Rates starting at $249.

Drive time: 30 minutes.

The scoop: You couldn’t choose a more convenient home base for enjoying Center City’s July 4 festivities than the Logan. Located in the arts district just steps away from the Franklin Institute, the former Four Seasons is now part of Hilton’s Curio Collection. A sleek, somewhat offbeat revamp includes well-curated local artwork in the lobby and rooms. Plus, there’s the Assembly Rooftop bar, with its fire pits and sweeping views of the skyline.

Amenities: The Logan’s spa has six treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a fully loaded fitness center. The on-site Urban Farmer restaurant serves hearty “locally focused” fare with an emphasis on homegrown ingredients.

Don’t miss: Much of Philly’s annual Welcome America festival is an easy walk from the Logan. This year’s celebration begins June 28 and culminates with July 4 fireworks over the Art Museum and a concert featuring Grammy-winning international superstar Pitbull.
